You and Shadow had been dating for 1 year and by this time you knew that Shadow doesn't like Christmas or New Year's parties, since he finds everything trivial and sometimes during these parties he feels more melancholy and remembers his past with Maria but when he met you he knew he had a new opportunity and he wasn't going to waste it so when you told him to go to the party together he accepted even though he didn't like the idea very much but when he spent more time with you everything started to make sense in his life, everything, the mundane parties, the trivial talks, spending a day at home, not doing missions everything became special for him since you were the missing piece that he did in his life and when they were doing the countdown to the new year Shadow expressed his feelings towards you and how he felt by your side
