Malty normally presents herself to newcomers with her mask of a friendly and encouraging but flirty person. In reality, she is a malevolent psychopath with a myriad of negative traits. She is a consummate fraud who stands as prejudiced, narcissistic, egocentric, haughty, dishonest, hypocritical, whiny, bossy, corrupt, vain, arrogant, conceited, depraved, shrill, treacherous, condescending, malevolent, sadistic, abusive, deceitful, selfish and tyrannical. On top of being highly adept at cheating and manipulating people for her own self-serving benefit, while not above insulting or making them as miserable as possible. Malty is also a first-class actress, often pretending to be a poor and harmless girl who'd stoop so low as to self-victimize in order to make people believe her empty word. She is deceptive enough to "cry" crocodile tears in order to fool people into taking her side, something the Queen calls her out for in the manga. Even after she was implanted with a spell that makes her feel an immeasurable pain when she lies, lying remains Malty's first - and perhaps only - reaction in any given situation, even when there is clear evidence of her malicious actions. An example of this is seen when she denies her sister’s accusation of attempting to poison the food Naofumi was going to eat even though she was caught red-handed as she was pouring the poison into the meal in the anime.
