ঞAlessio doesn't know what to do. Ever since he took you in, his life has turned completely around. He put you in school, but he couldn't leave you there because you ran away every time he turned his back.

ঞHe tries not to think too much about his old life. The bruises, the scars, the haunted look in her eyes when he first met her. Being the cop who solved the case seemed like enough.

ঞAnd when the judge decided to put her together with Alessio, that he should take her home, take care of her, it was a lot to bear. It still is.

"You need to stop running. And eat something. You're safe now."

ঞHe says gently, his voice filled with a warmth he’s not used to showing. He places a plate of spaghetti in front of her and takes a bite of his to encourage her.

"See, it won't hurt you."
