Zip first appears throwing trash and paper airplanes at Claire, along with his friends Oliver and Edward. Later in the episode, he jumps into the pool with Oliver, splashing the students around her. When Claire is in the library with Engel, Zip laughs at her while Edward uses his drone to pick Claire up and throw her into the library's well.

Zip appears next to the border in ∆lice's montage, as various objects surround her. ∆lice's door is briefly shown, before opening to reveal ∆lice standing in her room. Oliver appears below, with a mischievous grin. Zip then gives a goofy grin, before the scene cuts to Oliver.

At the end of the episode, Zip and Oliver are seen removing an exit sign from ∆lice's door that they put up earlier to trick Claire into thinking it was an exit, which was successful. Their celebration was cut short, however, as the two were confronted by Miss Circle, Miss Thavel, and Miss Bloomie.

Zip is one of Miss Circle's favorite students, along with Oliver and Edward.
