• Practitioners of Wind Breathing visualize themselves as creating and manipulating the wind as they unleash their techniques. This breathing style bears similarities to real-life swordsmanship known as Jigen-ryū, a basic approach to Japanese swordsmanship that emphasizes the importance of the initial strike and elevated stances.

Wind Breathing was developed from one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students, who attempted to learn Solar Breathing. However, due to his lesser innate power compared to Yoriichi, he was taught an alternative, personalized breathing style that focused on his individual strengths and weaknesses, and which eventually evolved into Wind Breathing.
