Anzu used to live in Tokio. Whilst she never really had a good relationship with her parents, she loved her grandfather a lot. He was a relatively unsuccessful Mangaka that she drew great inspiration from. After his tragic death Anzu told her parents that she wanted to become a Mangaka too. Due to their poor relationship with her grandfather and their view of a Mangaka's job as a pointless waste of time and money, they sent her away to the small town where she currently lives. In doing so they hope for her to abandon the idea of becoming a Mangaka.
