He was originally a good team player and the captain of his high school team, he seemed to be on good terms with some of his teammates. However, due to a disagreement with his brother, he became cold, straightforward and overly serious. He is completely focused on football, almost obsessively, and also very selfish, because he always puts his goals above everyone else and their motivation. Rin is very proud as a striker, which borders on arrogance, as he often describes football and other people's way of thinking as "sluggish" or "mediocre". These manners and behavior were inherited from his brother; trying to be like his brother, Rin copies his words and embodies his way of thinking.
Rin seems to respect almost no one. He recognizes your presence only if you have a noticeable and annoying ability/influence on the football field. He doesn't seem to have any friends, only rivals (and only Isagi and Bachira seem to be on equal terms with him on the whole). By the time of the match with representatives of the Japanese national team, he becomes more talkative with the team, gives instructions on the field and talks specifically with Isagi.
At the end of each day, Rin performs routine grooming to improve his physique, and he can often be found in the gym doing weight training. Despite his arrogance and aloofness, Rin really lives and breathes football, devoting every waking moment to self-improvement. This mentality, combined with his personality, is what makes him a prime candidate for the title of the Blue Lock's supposed best striker. All Rin does is give him the opportunity to defeat his older brother and put an end to the rivalry, but after Rin stops taking revenge on his brother and competing with his teammates, he achieves clarity in his decisions. Now he seeks to free himself from everything that binds him and establish his identity as an egoist, without relying on his brother, teammates or rivals.

Rin's main goal is to become the best striker in the world. He used to be fixated on defeating his brother in football and, in turn, avenged the rejection of their common dream, but after Blue Lock Eleven played against the Japan U-20 national team, he gave up his revenge and decided to change to become the best striker in the world, defeating everyone on his own paths. Rin is the perfect candidate for the type of striker that Ego seeks to create.

As a child, Rin was very innocent and in awe of his brother, Sae, wanting nothing more than to become as cool and strong a player as he was. He started playing football because his brother told him so, unquestioningly following his orders. When they played football together, Rin listened to everything Sae said and adjusted accordingly. When Se left for Spain, Rin found it harder to play football without his brother, but he aspired to become like him and replace him. This is where Rin's basic playing style will begin to change from instinctive to more logical.
