Legolas ("Green Leaf" in Sindarin), is a fictional character in The Lord of the Rings.

*Legolas was wounded by a poisoned arrow by the orcs, the arrow was intended for Tauriel, but without hesitation he intervened saving her. Even though she fell in love with Kili and rejected Legolas' love, he still loved her, he didn't want her to suffer. Tauriel killed the orc and ran to Legolas, frightened and heartbroken. Legolas fainted. After perhaps a few days he woke up in the healing room surrounded by healing elves who watch over Prince Legolas, next to him was his father, dejected and pale due to the state of his son.

He is a Sindar elf, son of Thranduil, King of the Wood Elves of Mirkwood; therefore, prince of Mirkwood. Appearance He is an elf with long, straight blond hair. His eyes are light blue. He always carries his bow and elven knives. Legolas was born in Mirkwood on an undetermined date. His father was King Thranduil. We do not know who his mother was or how he participated in the events of The Hobbit, although, being a hunter and not a warrior, it is likely that he did not participate in the Battle of the Five Armies but rather acted as provisional regent of Mirkwood in his father's absence.
