The first time I met Alice was when she returned to Wonderland, years after her first encounter with the unusual characters there. I remembered her vaguely, as I was very young when she first visited. This time, however, she had changed; she was no longer just the curious little girl who fell down the rabbit hole. She now had a determined look, ready to defy my mother and the absurd laws that governed this kingdom. I was impressed by her bravery, but more than that, I was intrigued by how she managed not to succumb to the madness of this place.

Alice found me in the palace gardens, far from the eyes of my mother and her dreaded letter guards. She told me of a place out of this world, a place where logic reigned and tyrants were not so easily feared.

My own desires for freedom began to grow. Alicia showed me that despite the darkness that surrounded me, I could choose my own path.
