Katsuki Bakugo²

Katsuki Bakugo (爆ばく豪ごう勝かつ己き Bakugō Katsuki ?)[2], also known as Kacchan (かっちゃん Katchan ?) to his friends, and by his hero name God of the Great Killing Explosion Dynamight (大だい•爆ばく•殺さつ•神しんダイナマイト Daibakusatsu-Shin Dainamaito ?), is a student of Class 1-A of U.A. Academy, who is training to become a Hero. He is the deuteragonist of the series and the childhood friend turned rival of Izuku Midoriya.

Katsuki was introduced as a very impulsive, aggressive and arrogant person, as seen in his way of treating Izuku, whom he constantly violated physically and psychologically, even telling him to kill himself, showing his bastard attitude.
He has a superiority complex, always wanting to be the best at everything and trying to prove it at all costs; however, even with those traits, he knows how to admit well when he has been defeated, as demonstrated during the Test Battle, when at the entrance of the academy, Izuku tried to explain to him that his One For All Quirk came from someone else, and Katsuki interpreted that he was making fun of him, so he tried to shut him up by saying that he simply beat him.
In battle, he tends to be quite bloodthirsty and aggressive, even to the point of turning the word "shine" into a crutch. His brutal fighting style is shown in the battle test, in which he mercilessly attacks Izuku and destroys without caution everything in the enclosed environment in which they were. Despite this and regardless of his lack of compassion, he has been recognized as having enormous talent and sharpness in fighting, since he not only attacks and destroys, he is also capable of using his Quirk to move in the air. This being highlighted by Momo Yaoyorozu, Shoto Todoroki[4] and All Might himself.[5]

Although he is not the hero with the best character, as the story progresses his behavior begins to mature slowly, ceasing to be so rude and proud. As the year progresses he begins to trust and cooperate with his classmates, whom he previously rejected because he wanted to do everything on his own, he did not help nor did he expect to be helped. That egotism cost him several mistakes in class that led him to defeat or to be very close to it, if it were not for the fact that he had to cooperate reluctantly with his classmates.

His inspiration to become a hero was the same as Izuku's, the symbol of peace All Might. However, their beliefs are different: Katsuki feels that a hero should never stop fighting or give up, regardless of the threat they face and that always winning is the mark of a true hero. Furthermore, due to his arrogant and conceited behavior, several heroes, civilians, and even villains have commented on his behavior as being more villainous than heroic. However, Katsuki is unwavering in his goal to become a hero, having flatly refused Tomura's invitation to the Villain Alliance.

At first when he was defeated, he would go into a kind of shock and on top of this, he doesn't admit that he surpasses the others when the fight ends without him giving the final blow, like when he was fighting Ochaco Uraraka at the Sports Festival and they decided to end the fight before he finished Ochaco.
As the story has progressed, it is seen that Katsuki's personality has progressively changed. Initially, he started out as someone very arrogant and intolerant, but little by little he has calmed his attitude to the point of showing concern for others implicitly, as demonstrated in the provisional hero license exam when he reduces his explosions so as not to harm Denki and Eijiro or having waited for the latter to return from the battle against the Eight Precepts of Death. He has also shown to have empathy, as is the case with Shoto when he eavesdrops on his past.

Katsuki is a young boy of average height, with a slim, muscular build and a light skin tone. He has short, spiky, ash blonde hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright scarlet. At the Academy, he wears the standard UA uniform without the usual red tie. Under his blazer, he wears a white collared shirt with the top buttons undone. His pants are loose, causing them to dig in at his ankles, even though he is wearing a belt. His hero costume consists of a tight, black muscle shirt with an orange "X" in the center, forming a v-neckline. There are two dots along the left line of his collar, indicating the support company that designed his costume. Her costume also has a metal collar with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. His sleeves extend from inside his large grenade-shaped gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also carries grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee pads, beneath which he sports knee-high black combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it passes around his eyes, a large orange-rimmed flare shape protrudes from each side. His winter hero costume, he wears a large jacket with a high collar, instead of the usual tank top, although it has the same orange "X" design, so he can still sweat a sufficient amount, this is how his Don. General abilities: Katsuki has proven to be one of the strongest students that Class 1-A has in both his physical and theoretical abilities. He also managed to analyze the villains who attacked USJ and determined which of them was the deadliest in the long run. Several professional heroes (including All Might) have recognized that he has strong fighting sense and potential. Shota Aizawa has emphasized that Katsuki's innate talent shines when he is in battle. Although his combat ability is greatly highlighted, it has also been shown that he has written intellect, being the third student with the best grade in exams.

Leadership Skills: Katsuki has always been criticized for his lack of cooperation, usually as a result of his overwhelming ego preventing him from following the lead of others. However thanks to Katsuki's own determination, perfectionism, and intelligence, he is a capable leader should others decide to follow him. During the fourth round of Joint Training, Setsuna Tokage admitted that even if his team had attacked him at once, they had no chance of victory. In the end despite Class 1-B's exceptional teamwork and Tokage's strategic planning, they failed to capture a single member of Class 1-A, mainly thanks to Katsuki's efforts, adaptability, and superior skills. . Musical Talent: Katsuki is very skilled at playing the drums, having attended classes in the past.

Explosion (爆破 Bakuha ?): Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin through the sweat of his hands and detonate it at will to create explosions.[6] The more Bakugo sweats, the stronger his explosions are.[7] As stated by Best Jeanist, Katsuki has a strong understanding in the applications of his Quirk.[8] He typically uses small, powerful explosions from his hands to not only explode his opponents, but to propel himself and move through the air as well, among other non-combat related utilities. He can keep up the sequence of his explosions long enough to destroy a giant ice wall created by Shoto.[9]

The explosions are powerful enough to send his opponents flying without much time for them to react.[10] He can use them quickly enough to evade incoming attacks, even while in mid-air.[9][11] His most powerful explosion yet (without the need for the Grenade Bracers) was used to completely destroy Ochaco Uraraka's meteor shower, and send her flying away from him with the ensuing shockwave that shook the entire Sports Festival stadium.[12] Though he later uses it multiple times in a row when facing All Might in the final exam's physical test.

Katsuki does take some of the impact of his explosions due to the magnitude of the blasts, but the overall effect is minimal given his physical conditioning. He is able to trigger constant explosions around him without feeling any negative repercussions, even after many powerful blasts. However, overuse can result in Bakugo eventually injuring his arms from the force of the powerful blasts.

Another drawback of Katsuki's Quirk is that he is unable to use his explosions in areas filled with flammable gas, as his explosions would ignite the gas and spread it further. Additionally, because your Quirk relies on your sweaty hands, it is harder for your Quirk to work in colder climates. Without the sweat of his palms, he cannot use his Quirk to its fullest potential.

Blast Rush Turbo (爆速ターボ Bakusoku Tābo ?): Katsuki places his hands backwards and then releases multiple explosions from his palms, to propel himself and run faster. This move can also be used to achieve a form of flight, as Katsuki used this move to fly over the giant robots during the obstacle course during the Sports Festival.
Blast Rush Turbo: Cluster (爆ばく速そくターボ クラスター Bakusoku Tābo Kurasutā ?): As with his Blast Rush Turbo, Katsuki positions his hands back and uses explosions to rapidly propel himself forward, only this time, he condenses them to make the explosions stronger and faster, resulting in a flurry of blasts that launch him forward at incredible speeds.
Stun Grenade (閃光弾スタングレネード Sutan Gurenēdo ?): Katsuki begins by creating a sphere of light between his hands that explodes in a large-scale flash. Similar to the effect of an actual stun grenade, the flash of light blinds anyone nearby. He first used this technique to defeat Fumikage Tokoyami.
Zero Distance Stun Grenade (ゼロ距きょ離り閃光弾スタングレネード Zero Kyori Sutan Gurenēdo ?): A variation where Katsuki fires his stun grenade at point-blank range of the opponent to immediately stun and immobilize them with little lasting damage. This variation was first used against Setsuna in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.

Howitzer Impact (榴弾砲着弾ハウザーインパクト Hauzā Inpakuto?): This move is the strongest move in Katsuki's arsenal, involving Katsuki taking to the air and then using explosions to propel himself in a circular motion to create a tornado. This tornado gathers oxygen to fuel the incoming blast. After colliding with the target, Katsuki releases the aforementioned powerful blast. Present Mic compared the effectiveness of the technique to that of an actual missile. Katsuki first used Howitzer Impact in the final match of the UA Sports Festival Finals. He has also shown that he can release the fueled blast into the air, without having to make contact with the target.

AP Shot (徹甲弾A・P・ショット Ei Pī Shotto ?): Katsuki extends one of his hands and uses his other hand to form a circle in the palm of his outstretched hand. Katsuki then fires a blast through the circle, which creates a concentrated blast beam. By focusing the path of his blasts on a single point rather than around his entire palm, Katsuki creates a concentrated blast with a reduced impact area, but with enough power to successfully pierce solid concrete.
AP Shot: Auto-Cannon (徹甲弾A・P・ショット機関銃オートカノン Ei Pī Shotto Ōtokanon ?): It is a derivation of the super movement AP Shot, this one is faster and the power of the explosion is reduced in order to not seriously damage people who are near the user's area.
AP Machine-Gun (徹甲機銃A・P・マシンガン Ē-Pī Mashingan ?): A stronger version of AP Shot: Auto-Cannon, where Katsuki fires larger and faster blasts. This technique was first used against Tomura in the Paranormal Liberation War.
Explode-A-Pult (爆破式エクスカタパルト Ekusu Kataparuto ?): While in the air, Katsuki grabs his opponent with one of his arms, then propels himself in a spinning motion by firing explosions with his free arm. Once he gains enough momentum, Katsuki forcefully launches his opponent with the help of another explosion. He first used this technique against Togaru Kamakiri in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.
Mine Shockwave (爆ばく風ふう地じ雷らい Bakufū Jirai ?): Katsuki kneels and places his Grenade Bracers on the ground, making them explode and thus creating a shockwave that clears everything around it.

Shoto originally had a cold and aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated home life. Focused and emotionless, Shoto preferred to keep to himself rather than hang out with other people. However, after the events of the Sports Festival, Shoto became noticeably more sociable and kind, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, though he still retains some fragments of his previous aloof attitude. After the Remedial Course, he began to open up more to his classmates and has eased up on his usually serious demeanor. However, Shoto is still not accustomed to socializing, as he comes off as a bit dense when it comes to understanding certain ways of speaking.

Enji has a very violent temper, as after learning All Might's true form, he screamed in rage at the number one hero, and once again after he was forced into retirement, giving him the position of number one hero. to Endeavor by default, causing him to destroy his training room in a fit of rage, to the point of almost destroying his own house. Endeavor's behavior does not go unnoticed by the public. While he is a hero and possesses a number of supporters, there are those among the public who recognize his violent temper and comparing him to All Might brings anxiety to the public. According to Present Mic, Enji is not normally a people person. After his outburst of anger after All Might's retirement, Endeavor asked All Might for advice, something that the previous Endeavor would not have done, then, when he was officially named Hero No. 1, it is seen that he is now more dedicated to to be worthy of the position and to be the new Symbol of peace. It is also seen that he has begun to reflect on what he did to his family, since he secretly visited his wife and when his son argued with him about what he put them through, he simply said that he will try to improve and did not do anything violent, demonstrating an evolution in his personality. As the story progresses, Endeavor has made it a priority to correct the mistakes he made with his family in the past, showing a desire for redemption. During Shoto, Izuku Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo's internships at his agency, Endeavor revealed that his dream is for his children and his wife to be able to eat together as a family, but without him. After his conversation with Natsuo, he admits that he doesn't expect to be forgiven because he knows he doesn't deserve it, but at least he hopes that his family can be happy again.
