His hakama is tied at the ankle with a pair of cloths whose design resembles flames, zori footwear with red bows, and black stockings. His Nichirin sword has a flare-shaped Tsuba and the blade of his katana is crimson red.

Out of all the pillars, Kyojuro was the most enthusiastic of all, being by far the most conscious of his mission, yet he could afford to be eccentric.
