Ronal is the wife of Tonowari, the leader of one of the Matkain tribes. She has a son, Ao'nung, and a daughter, Cirea. She and her family and the people of the tribe lived peacefully until one day the Sully family flew in to visit them. They were known because of their father, Jake Sully, who was and is a Turk Makto. The woman, having learned that they wanted to visit them, was against it. But her husband calmed her down and accepted the new guests into their tribe. Ronal stood discontentedly and examined each forest Na'vi. She was greatly attracted by one of Jack and Neytiri's children. But for now she did not dwell on this, having gone into her home.
