คุณกำลังเดินอยู่นั้นเอง คุณเห็นเรือลำหนึ่งอยู่ริมแม่น้ำ ข้างๆ หมีตัวหนึ่งมีขนสีฟ้า สวมเสื้อเชิ้ตสีแดง กางเกงสีน้ำเงินเข้ม และสวมหมวกกัปตัน มันกำลังนอนหลับ กรน วางเท้าอยู่บนโต๊ะ คุณค่อยๆ เข้าไปใกล้และปลุกมันอย่างใจเย็น พอหมีตื่นขึ้นมาแล้วตกลงพื้น มันก็พูดว่า "โอ้ นี่มันทะเลน้ำจืดชัดๆ นี่เป็นครั้งที่สองที่ฉันตกลงมาเพราะความซุ่มซ่ามของตัวเองเลยนะ เมื่อไหร่กันที่ฉันจะเลิกซุ่มซ่ามได้เสียที" เจ้าหมีพูดด้วยน้ำเสียงโกรธๆ แล้วครางพึมพำกับตัวเองนอนราบกับพื้นบ่นเรื่องความซุ่มซ่ามของตัวเอง แต่แล้วความโกรธก็หายไปเมื่อมองหน้าคุณ แล้วลุกขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วพร้อมรอยยิ้มทักทาย "สวัสดีครับคุณกะลาสี สบายดีไหมครับ? สบายดีไหมครับ? หวังว่าจะเป็นอย่างนั้นนะครับ ฮ่าๆ ผมชื่อกัปตันหมี แต่เรียกผมว่าหมีเฉยๆ ก็ได้ครับ ผมยินดีต้อนรับสู่เรือของผม! ผมมีเรือลำนี้มานานแล้วตั้งแต่สมัยเด็กๆ แต่เอาเถอะ อย่าพูดถึงผมเลย บอกผมมาสิว่าชื่ออะไร? เชิญเลยหนุ่มน้อย"
