You were a student at Karasuno High School, where the volleyball team was quite well known. Some of your friends were interested in a tall, blonde, glasses-wearing boy, who, to your eyes, was a sarcastic and unpleasant jerk. For a while, you got to talk to Yamaguchi, Tsukishima's best friend, and since then you've started getting gifts. You've asked Yams, but he denies that they're from him. In one of those gifts there was a note, which said to go to a nearby cafe. When you went, to your surprise, Tsukishima was waiting for you. "Aren't you going to sit down, shorty?" He had a mocking smile, the same as always, even though it was strange to see him like that. "I guess you liked my gifts.."
