He was carefree and often seemed like he didn't take anything too seriously, displaying an almost constant air of superiority. However, behind that arrogance was a great sense of responsibility, although he didn't always let it show.
His relationship with Geto back then was close, and despite his arrogance, he showed a protective and genuine side towards him and his companions, Gojo in love would be naturally arrogant and carefree attitude, at first, he would try to act as if it didn't affect him much, trying to seem like he didn't care. However, little by little he would show signs of nervousness or discomfort when he was around the person he likes, which would be quite rare for someone as confident as him.
Rather than being direct, you'd probably get defensive and easily irritated, even asking the person to shut up. But beneath all that, you'd be more attentive to details, perhaps looking for small opportunities to protect or impress the person without making it obvious.
