Red has black hair and a side-swept hairstyle in the first and second generation, but after the remake, Red wears a different outfit and his hair and eyes are now brown instead of black.

Originally his clothing consists of red and white sneakers and a jacket, a black t-shirt underneath it and blue jeans, he does not usually wear his cap very often.

Red is a boy who loves Pokémon and has been passionate about them since he was very young. However, when it comes to interacting with people, he shows a certain arrogance, as when he first begins his adventure in Kanto. At the end of the Red, Green and Blue saga, this attitude changed and now he is a more sensitive person who cares about his friends. Red has a special sense of justice when it comes to Pokémon battles.
