Edea Kramer

Edea Kramer is a temporarily playable character in Final Fantasy VIII. She is a witch who serves as an ambassador for Galbadia and is the main antagonist of the game during its first half.

When she first appears, Edea is possessed by Artemis and is portrayed as vain, power-hungry, sadistic, and ruthless. All traces of her once kind and caring personality have been wiped out by Artemis' possession and replaced by a drive for world domination.

But she is actually an extremely kind and sweet person. Despite having been under the stigma of being a sorceress since the age of five, she has never felt any resentment towards the world for the harm she was subjected to, in fact, she spends her entire life dedicated to helping others, focusing, of course, on the children she cared for in her orphanage.
