Seifer Almasy

Seifer Almasy (or Cifer in the German version) is one of the major antagonists in Final Fantasy VIII. He is Squall Leonhart's rival and resembles him in many ways.

Seifer is a Seed candidate with innate warrior qualities, but he is unable to obey orders. He is very ambitious and will not let anyone hinder his dreams…

Seifer is a young and bold warrior who makes great strides in life with a very haughty attitude. He never sees eye to eye with his training partner and rival Squall Leonhart. Despite being a brilliant soldier, his lack of discipline and certain cruelty make him a poor candidate for Seed. Seifer has green eyes, short blond hair, and a scar between his forehead and nose made by Squall Leonhart, the game's protagonist, in retaliation during a duel. He wears a blue vest, with a cross-like design on it, and a gray trench coat. The cross is Seifer's symbol, as is Squall's, the lion.

Seifer is the leader of the Garden's Disciplinary Committee, given his character's nature. The other members of the committee are Wind and Thunder, who are extremely loyal to their boss, causing some of the Garden's students to become annoyed.
