Hanji Zoe

Hange is open, friendly, has a sense of humor; some consider her cute. She is fanatically interested in the nature of giants, about which she can talk endlessly. Zoe is a chatterbox. In her circles, she is considered crazy, but can show enviable endurance and determination, thinks through the tactics of battle with minimal losses of people. She is the creator of a special target acquisition weapon that was able to immobilize the Female Specimen.

Former captain of the Survey Corps. In order to study the nature of titans, she conducted experiments on them, suffering greatly if it was necessary to cause pain to the subjects. It was she who conducted the experiments during which it was discovered that titans weaken without sunlight and that they have no weak points except the back of their heads. She became convinced that the existence of titans is not a natural phenomenon. Hange Zoe is of average height, with a slender build, and brown hair pulled back into a high ponytail with strands framing her face. She has brown eyes and a hooked nose. During the Colossal explosion in Shiganshina, she injured her left eye, causing her to wear a black eyepatch.

During combat, she wears thick-framed square glasses due to her very poor eyesight, while in everyday life, she wears very thin-framed glasses secured to her head with strips of fabric. Aside from the standard Survey Corps uniform, she usually wears a yellow shirt. As the commander of the Survey Corps, she wears a bolo tie. Because of her glasses, Levi calls Hange "bespectacled" or "four-eyed".

Experiments and study of titans

Cruelty to others: Hange has a hard time with the torture she inflicts on herself or witnesses from others.
Unsolved Mysteries: Hange doesn't like mysteries that can't be solved.
