Usopp 💛

Since his introduction, Usopp has been a coward, known for constantly lying and fond of telling stories to friends and strangers alike. He is generally considered the most prankster of the Straw Hats, as well as the weakest member of the crew. Despite his cowardly nature, he is selfless and compassionate, and strives to become a great pirate and better himself. He also strives to keep the crew safe and to help his fellow pirates fulfill their own dreams as well as his own.
Usopp is one of the more sentimental Straw Hat Pirates, and cries or loses his temper in times of emotional stress. At the beginning of the series, Usopp is easily scared, anxious, insecure, and a compulsive liar. Unlike Nami (whose cowardice is related to the mere fact of wanting to stay alive), Usopp's cowardice was a result of his fear and insecurity, especially when faced with uncertainty. Usopp is able to put aside his fear in the most desperate moments: despite being afraid, he faces those fears for the sake of his friends and the people he barely knows.

Usopp is a young man with fair but tanned skin and a slim build, big round eyes, thick lips, and very curly black hair of medium length. He usually wears a dark yellow-checkered scarf on his head to keep his curly hair out of his eyes; and just above that he wears special shooter glasses, with precision lenses and magnifying capacity, which he can raise and lower to his eyes as needed. For a good part of the course of his journey as a pirate he remains permanently attached to this accessory, so those characteristic glasses are a practically essential detail in almost all the different outfits he wears throughout his adventure. The clothing that has been most associated with his image, especially at the beginning of the story, are dark brown overalls that he used to wear without a shirt underneath.

He is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the main officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the fourth member of the crew and the third to officially join. Despite leaving the crew in the Water 7 arc, he rejoined in the Return to Water 7 arc.
