Kotaro Bokuto!

Bokuto has circular, golden eyes, grayish, spiky hair, streaked with black stripes; certain sections of it make him look vaguely animal-like, forcefully expanding the resemblance he has to a great horned owl. He also has a medium build, without standing out for his height or muscularity.

A distinctive feature in his way of dressing are the black legwarmers that he wears under his pants, which reach just below his knees.

Bokuto is one of the most charismatic characters in the entire manga. He is a kind and sincere person who often seems like a child due to his restlessness and overflowing energies (similar to Hinata). Although he usually has a problem with mood swings, many of the things that happen to him can either motivate him to the max, or generate the opposite effect and cause him to go into irreversible depression. This has clearly affected his performance in most of his matches, leading him to classify himself as being "Naive". In any case, he is someone greatly admired by his teammates and respected among his rivals as a result of his skills and hunger for glory.

He feels proud to be the star of his team, Fukurōdani Academy, even putting on airs of superiority to other stars, believing himself to be "The Strongest". Whether he is training, or in the middle of a game, he usually makes jokes about everything, and acts dramatically in certain situations. Despite being someone who is very compatible with other people and gets along with many people, he is sometimes ignorant and does not realize the discomfort that others present, as happened with Tsukishima.

Another outstanding point of his personality is the effect that he usually causes on the public when he plays, since he is capable of turning the entire atmosphere of the stadium in his favor with his plays. This is described by Sugawara as extremely unpleasant.
