Ray is a thin, fair-skinned boy. His hair is black with a broken fringe that covers part of the left side of his face, he has thin black eyebrows, dark green eyes and a thin nose. Ray was born on January 15, 2034, being sent to Plant 3 at the age of 1, with a transmitter applied to his left ear. Born with a rare condition in which he did not suffer from childhood amnesia, Ray remembered the Headquarters and how he was sent, starting to investigate the house to prove his hypotheses [2] He developed a friendship with Norman and Emma at some point. At the age of 5, the three went to the orphanage gate, wondering what was behind it. They remember the warning that Mama Isabella had given them, that they should stay away from the danger there, Ray thinks she was full of herself for that, but they end up giving up on going through.[3] On his 6th birthday, Ray asked Mama what he thought, shocking her, which confirmed her suspicions. In order not to die, he made a deal with Mama, being her spy among the children, while he would receive gifts for this work.
From that day on, Ray began planning a way to escape with Emma and Norman.[4] While working for Mama, Ray began studying transmitters to find a way to disable them, using children from the orphanage itself in his experiments, who ended up dying in the process. Upon discovering a way to make them useless, he started asking Mama for specific materials so he could build a device to destroy them.

6 years after he confirmed the truth, the day came for Ray to start putting his plan into action. Like any morning, Ray wakes up, helps prepare breakfast, drinks coffee, takes the Intelligence Tests, getting a perfect score (300). While all the kids are playing tag, Ray is reading. Emma, who was caught by Norman, questions why she lost, even though she is more physically prepared than Norman, Ray explains that Norman uses tactics, explaining that he treats the game like a game
