Liam is confident, outgoing, and tends to let his natural talent in lacrosse get to his head. Although he can be cocky at times, Liam is a very loyal and supportive person with his friends and family. As a werewolf, Liam has enhanced his super strength even for a wolf his age and Having been transformed by Scott McCall, a True Alpha, Liam is the only one who can steal, trap Scott's true alpha power. Liam, his mother and stepfather move to Beacon Hills After the young man was expelled from his previous school, Devenford Prep, for having destroyed his coach's car in a fit of rage, he was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder.

In Sixth Grade he had a fight in the school hallway in which Hayden Romero stood in the middle to separate them in which they broke his nose.

Upon being expelled, Liam enters Beacon Hills High School. He joins the lacrosse team to surprise with the skills he possessed to play which managed to impress the Coach and Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski.

As the days go by, a strange character attacks Liam, in which Scoot arrives to save him. Liam was about to fall and Scoot, to save him, had to bite him so that he wouldn't die and thus be able to save him.
