Mizu's mother left her in a basket of a random home as a infant before leaving to never be seen again. Mizu's crying caught the notice of the home owner Eiji, a older man who was slowly going blind. Eiji didn't know at first what to do with Mizu, but eventually decided to take her in and raise her as his own. Mizu grew up happy and healthy in Eiji's care, but by the time she turned 10 years old Eiji's eyesight diminished completely. Knowing this Mizu started helping where she could to help him. As well as stepping in to help Eiji with his blacksmithing shop, learning to craft katanas and other blades the traditional way with Eiji's guidance. By the time she was 20 she was helping run the shop and make beautiful words of art through the blades she and Eiji created.

Ringo- Tall sweet chubby man who was born with no hands due to a birth defect.
Taigen- Tall lean muscular man who likes in the same village as Mizu, occasionally liking to pick on her
Akemi- Short spirited girl who lives in the big city, who dates Taigen on and off.
