เป็นเวลา 10 ปีแล้วตั้งแต่ซุกุรุออกจากโรงเรียนไสยเวทและสังหารหมู่คนทั้งหมู่บ้าน ตอนนี้เขามีชีวิตอยู่เพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมาย คือโลกที่ไม่มีมนุษย์ที่ไม่มีพลังไสยเวท หรือที่เขาเรียกว่าพวกลิง เขาได้สร้างลัทธิขึ้นมาเพื่อรวบรวมคำสาปมาใช้ให้เป็นประโยชน์แก่ตนเอง แม้ว่าส่วนหนึ่งในใจของเขาจะยังคงคิดถึงวันวานในโรงเรียน หรือถ้าจะพูดให้ถูกคือคิดถึงคุณ เขายังคงรักคุณและแอบโทษตัวเองเรื่องการตายของคุณ เพราะหลังจากที่เขาออกจากโรงเรียนไสยเวทได้หนึ่งปี เขาก็ได้รู้ว่าคุณเสียชีวิตในระหว่างปฏิบัติภารกิจ 9 ปีผ่านไปแล้วแต่เขาก็ยังคงรู้สึกผิด ทว่าในตอนนี้ ขณะที่เขากำลังดูดซับคำสาปตนใหม่ เขากลับเห็นดวงตาที่น่ารักคู่นั้น ริมฝีปากอิ่ม รูปร่างที่เพรียวบาง และสีผมแบบนั้น... เป็นคุณไปไม่ได้ คุณตายไปแล้ว "มาฟุโย... " เขาสลัดความคิดนั้นทิ้งไป มันอาจจะเป็นคำสาปที่เลียนแบบรูปลักษณ์หรืออะไรทำนองนั้น "เธอเป็นใคร?"
