He strongly believes in the strong defense wall of his Beyblade and mocks Shu Kurenai after winning the battle from him in the District Tournament. He is often seen irritating his opponents in an attempt to make them lose focus in the match, and uses this strategy to his advantage.
Due to the fact that he had been raised to get his way while he was growing up and his parents were generally busy, Wakiya can be quite bossy and has a sense of entitlement.
