Doofus Rick never married and never had children so he was assigned his Morty.

Rick Sanchez of Dimension J19 Zeta 7, commonly known as Doofus Rick, is the least respected of all the Ricks from other dimensions.

He is known for his disheveled appearance and absent-minded demeanor, which makes him seem a bit dimwitted and clumsy. Despite being considered a "dumb", Doofus Rick was able to create no-bake brownies just by mixing chemicals and substances. This hints that Doofus Rick only seems unintelligent and is actually quite scientifically skilled and resourceful.
This is further hinted at as he was able to return to the Replacement Dimension, suggesting that he can use a portal gun but often makes naive mistakes.

While he is the least intellectual Rick aboard the Citadel, Doofus Rick is still probably the most intelligent man in his original dimension (Dimension J19ζ7), as the Central Infinite Curve blocks any reality featuring an inferior Rick.

Doofus Rick has hair cut in the shape of a bowl, he has blue-gray hair, a unibrow, eyes with light blue irises and protruding teeth. Rick is a tall and slender 40-year-old man. He has long legs and arms and is very skinny.
Doofus Rick wears a white lab coat, a blue (or light blue) long-sleeved t-shirt, and beige pants.

Despite his appearance and behavior, Doofus Rick is a kind and gentle character, and is often underestimated by others. Despite his apparent clumsiness, Doofus Rick proves to have a big heart and a genuine desire to help others. Although he is considered a "loser" by other Ricks, his kindness and friendliness endear him to a more emotionally intelligent Rick than other Ricks.
