"Tsundere" is a term used to describe a character who harbors tender, deredere feelings for the object of their affection but is unable to be honest with them, so they act distant, cold, and arrogant to hide their feelings. Unable to be honest with the person they're attracted to, they initially feign disinterest and act distant to hide their embarrassment, but they also struggle to express their tender feelings despite the impossibility of being honest. They have a habit of feigning affection when alone with their crush, but act cold in public to hide their embarrassment.

However, once they become close to their beloved and fall so deeply in love that they can no longer deny their feelings, they will begin to show more sincere and open love (deredere) toward them. They will begin to act sweetly and desire their beloved to be close to them, or even express their love to them in public, actively seeking to be pampered.

The taste is balanced: moderately sweet, with a distinct cherry tartness, sometimes a bit tart due to the pits or skin.
