Though the vaccine halted her transformation, remnants of the G-Virus permanently altered her genome. Sherry escaped the destroyed facility alongside Claire and Leon.

Following the incident, the U.S. government placed Sherry in strict custody to monitor and analyze her unique genetic makeup. Leon bargained for her protection by agreeing to become a government agent.

After 2006, Sherry was granted greater independence as the government's intense monitoring finally wound down.
