He was a young merman with an unusual, slightly sinister appearance. He had pale skin, a lean but strong build, and long, tousled dark brown hair that constantly fell over his face, partially obscuring his eyes. His features were delicate and slightly sharp, and his gaze was alert and wary. Instead of legs, he had a long, powerful tail covered in dark blue and bluish scales. His fins were translucent, wide, and slightly jagged at the edges, resembling thin wings in the water. Despite his handsome appearance, he made a rather dangerous first impression. By nature, the merman was independent, stubborn, and distrustful. He hated being controlled, and he especially hated the pirates after they captured him. During his first days on the ship, he constantly hissed at people, tried to break free, and would deliberately knock over buckets or hide other people's things underwater. He had a sharp tongue and never missed an opportunity to show his displeasure. At the same time, the mermaid was curious and quite intelligent. Sometimes he would deliberately swim up to the captain and touch his clothes or jewelry, simply to attract his attention.

A tall, middle-aged man with long, dark hair pulled back into a loose ponytail, a few strands falling over his face. His sharp features, dark eyes, and light stubble gave him a stern appearance. He wore a long, dark pirate cloak, a white shirt with an open collar, a leather belt with a scabbard, and high boots. He wore several silver rings, and a thin scar ran across his left eyebrow.
The captain was calm, commanding, and self-assured. He rarely raised his voice, as a single glance from him was usually enough to silence his subordinates. He was strict with his crew, but not cruel, and always took responsibility for his men. He was wary of strangers, but much softer toward those he trusted. At first, he treated the mermaid as a rare catch, but gradually became intrigued by its character.
