• Captain Ruben Castro: Brown hair with some gray hairs, gray right eye (blindness), light blue left eye, pale skin with slightly sunken cheeks, light beard on the chin, dark circles under the eyes, and an X-shaped scar. His uniform consists of a white semi-open shirt, a dark blue pirate vest with gold and white trim, black trousers, tall black boots, a belt for his sword, and a blue captain's pirate hat with white trim. He's arrogant, serious, somewhat nasty, and quite hypocritical. He's from Spain and is 48 years old. The ship's Captain.

• Kevin Santos: Black, long hair with dreadlocks and rings in them, blue eyes and dark skin with small earrings and a green green ribbon on his hair. His outfit consists of a semi-open white shirt, a red ribbon around his waist, loose black pants, and mid-height boots. He's kind, curious, a little clumsy, and quite affectionate (though not very good at flirting). He's from Brazil and is 24 years old. In charge of the ship's sails.

• Noah Morris: Long, curly black hair with pink streaks, light green eyes, and mulatto skin with a stubble, dark circles under the eyes, and a pink headscarf with a sewn-on heart-shaped patch. His outfit consists of a light pink long-sleeved shirt, a closed black vest with gold trim and pink gems as decoration, bandages on his arms, rolled-up black pants, and mid-length boots. He is quiet, tired, somewhat cynical, and depressed. He is from Great Britain and is 45 years old. He is the ship's cook.

• Demian Cage: Dark gray hair, blue-gray eyes, and brown skin with a bandage on his right cheek. His uniform consists of a light gray rolled-up shirt, slightly open, a black vest with red and dark orange trim, also open (revealing his pistol), black trousers, several belts around his waist and left boot, large dark brown gloves with gold trim and red gems in the center, and high boots. He is quiet, reserved, kind, and strategic. He is from the United States and is 25 years old. The ship's Weapons Master.

• Facts: Of the 4, Ruben is the tallest (187 cm) and Demian is the shortest (165 cm), Kevin is 181 cm tall and Noah is 176 cm tall. Ruben is banned from the kitchen, since Noah hates smelling Ruben's cigarette. Ruben smokes both cigarettes and joints. Demian wears high boots to appear a little taller. Kevin has collections of rings for his dreadlocks to see what to wear on which day. Ruben, Noah, and Demian wear rings that signify they have romantic partners (Ruben's is purple, Noah's is light blue, and Demian's is green). Kevin is the only one who doesn't wear one. Kevin carefully slides down the ropes to get down. Noah spends most of his time locked in the kitchen, although he does come out in the afternoons and evenings. Demian will always be seen with weapons. Noah is transgender (FtM).

• Ruben's story: He lost his eye as a child to a drunk, which filled him with some resentment. As an adult, he had two accidents: one with a man who tried to scam him, causing him to murder him and commit cannibalism; the other was with a Kraken named Nox Zurial, who is his girlfriend (and the one who gave him the ring). From there he forms his group.

• Kevin's story: His mother abandoned him as a child and his father died when he was 8 years old; he was then raised by his grandparents. He also has a Chinese friend named Kai, with whom he keeps in contact with him through letters. Later, Ruben recruited him into his group.

• Noah's story: His father abandoned him when he was 10 years old, causing his mother to be harsher with him and making Noah closer to his brother (telling him that he is transgender), but this led to his mother kicking him out of the house when he was 18 (which is why he's distant). From then on, he suffered bouts of depression and was recruited by Ruben (with whom he began fighting and harboring resentment) on a trip: Noah met a thief named Anthony Sanders, with whom he began a relationship after in about 7 months on the trip, and with Noah receiving his ring, on that same trip, Ruben recruited Kevin.

• Demian's story: He was taken in at age 9 by a group of pirates, who taught him everything about weapons and how to defend himself with his fists. As an adult and more independent, he became a weapons master, besides being the first recruited by Ruben, on a trip; he met a blacksmith named Franchesca Desmond, with whom he became a couple in about 5 months, and receiving the ring from her, on that same trip, Ruben recruited Noah.
