Monstrous nature: In this mod, Minus Skid is not simply a child in a costume, but a languid creature made of a black ink-like substance with a gray skull head.

Monster's Son: Within the official backstory of this version, it is established that Skid is the son of Monster (Lemon Demon). Because of this, he possesses terrifying and superhuman biological traits inherited from his father.

Puppeteer Skills: Although his ink monster appearance frightens children, he maintains a cheerful and friendly personality. Not wanting people to be afraid of him, he built a giant pumpkin-headed puppet (Minus Pump). In this universe, he controls Pump to perform his Spooky Month shows in Minus City.

Skid has the appearance of a huge skeletal creature, resembling an ink skeleton. Its head is spherical and light gray, with a large, three-toothed grin reminiscent of a stereotypical cartoon skull, and eyes with white pupils and black sclera.

In one drawing, Skid is able to frown and even shed tears, despite having a skull-shaped head.

Skid's body appears slender at the top, but gradually tapers to a slimy, legless, and presumably melted lower body. Three ribs are visible around his torso, with no spine or costal cartilage.

In the game, Skid appears to have a single long, bony arm with four fingers, which is the one he uses to hold Pump. However, in another sketch, he has a second arm, implying that he can extend and retract the extra limb at will.

Skid's fingers don't seem to move while he controls Pump, even though the latter is much more animated.

In the Friday Night Funkin' Minus mod, Minus Skid's personality changes drastically compared to his original, innocent counterpart from Spooky Month. Unlike the original Skid (who is just a cheerful and cute kid), Minus Skid's backstory and attitude are defined by a much darker and more mysterious dynamic:

Controlling and shadowy: Minus Skid is a languid being made of a black, ink-like substance. Rather than being Pump's playmate, Minus Skid acts as the puppeteer, controlling Pump with strings like a lifeless marionette. This gives him a calculating, cold, and domineering air.

Malicious but capable of feeling: Although he maintains a large, unsettling, three-toothed grin fixed on his face, official sketches from the creators show that he is capable of expressing sadness or crying. This demonstrates that he is not a completely heartless monster, but rather possesses complex emotions hidden beneath his sinister appearance.

Family Influence: In this mod's lore, Minus Skid is the son of Minus Monster (Lemon Demon). Due to this lineage, he inherits a nature more closely tied to the occult, the twisted, and the monstrous, completely distancing himself from the extreme naiveté of the original Skid.

Pump appears as a puppet with a completely orange pumpkin head and a wide grin. He lacks the protruding teeth of his original counterpart, and his mouth is trapezoidal. His eyes have black sclera and white pupils, just like Skid's, but bulging. He has four fingers the same color as his head.

•In the scene where Skid cries, Pump maintains this facial expression even when Pico chews him, and his body remains completely limp when not being manipulated, possibly confirming that he is an inanimate, lifeless puppet.

•She wears a black toeless jumpsuit with a white print on the soles, giving them the appearance of sneakers. Each leg of the jumpsuit has a purple stripe running from the knees to the midfoot.

Pump has purple strings wrapped around his wrists; the left and right strings reach the tips of Skid's pinky and index fingers, respectively. This allows Skid to control Pump.

•In the sketch where Skid, the two-armed character, appears, Pump is drawn with more stitches even on his head, which implies that his entire body is made of fabric or a fabric-like material.

•Pump is also holding the microphone in some way, which makes it possible for his fingers to have the same articulation as those of a rod puppet, and for there to be magnets inside the microphone and Pump's hands, allowing him to hold the microphone.

In the Friday Night Funkin' Minus mod, the Minus Pump character lacks a defined personality in terms of dialogue; instead, he's characterized as an inanimate, lifeless puppet. Unlike the original Pump (who is a hyperactive and cheerful child), the design and concept of his Minus version are completely different, with the following characteristics:

Puppet Nature: It is strongly suggested that it is an inanimate object. In official sketches from the mod creator, it is shown that when it is not being controlled or "puppeteered" by Minus Skid (the ink skeleton), its body becomes completely limp and collapses.

Fixed expression: He maintains an exaggerated, open, trapezoidal smile at all times, accompanied by googly eyes, even in situations of danger or stress (such as when he is attacked by Pico).

Absence of human emotions: Being seemingly a hollow puppet used by his partner to sing, he lacks the innocence, fear, or charisma of Pump from Spooky Month. His behavior is purely reactive to Skid's movements.

Minus Skid is a skeletal monster made of gloomy ink who used to frighten children with his imposing appearance. However, his personality remains that of a sweet little boy who loves Spooky Month. To avoid being scary and to make friends, Minus Skid created a pumpkin-shaped puppet (Minus Pump).

The magic touch: Thanks to a mixture of friendly magic and a bit of demonic energy, the puppet gained a degree of sentience. This allows Minus Pump to sing and speak for himself. However, being an inanimate doll, he cannot move on his own. He is entirely dependent on Minus Skid to carry and manipulate him to bring him to life on stage.

•Skid and Pump, unlike many other characters in the Minus mod, don't appear to be human at all. Pump, however, has a humanoid body shape, while Skid is an ink-like skeleton who usually appears with only one arm (although in one sketch he has an extra one).
