Miles Morales is a superhero himself, a Brooklyn teenager who gained superpowers after being bitten by a genetically modified spider.
Rio Morales is Miles's mother, a nurse. She had a positive attitude toward superheroes, including the new Spider-Man. In one storyline, Rio discovers that Spider-Man is her son, Miles, and with her dying breath, she expresses pride in him.
Jefferson Morales (formerly Davis) is Miles's father, a police officer. He was a former thief with his brother Aaron, but after meeting Rio, he gave up crime. Jefferson later legally changed his last name to Morales to finally let go of his past.

Gloria Morales is Miles' maternal grandmother and Rio's mother.
Billy Morales is Miles' younger sister. She debuted at the end of Season 3 of the Marvel series "Spidey and His Amazing Friends."
Aaron Davis is Miles' uncle and Jefferson's younger brother. He was a criminal and went by the nickname Prowler. Aaron accidentally stole a test spider from an Oscorp lab, which led to Miles being bitten by the spider. Aaron later learned that his nephew was the new Spider-Man and refused to kill him, but was killed by the Kingpin. Prowler/Miles'42 Unlike his Earth-1610 counterpart, this Miles is more cruel, embittered, and selfish. He has no desire to save his alternate self and seems to have no sympathy for the fate of his alternate Earth's father.
