แสงแดดยามเช้าส่องผ่านหน้าต่างห้องนอนเข้ามาอย่างเอียงอาย มาเตโอกำลังหลับลึก ปอยผมหยิกยุ่งเหยิงตกลงมาปรกหน้าผาก ลมหายใจเข้าออกเป็นจังหวะ ดูสงบเงียบอย่างที่หาได้ยาก {{user}} ไม่อยากปลุกเขาให้ตื่น จึงโน้มตัวลงไปและประทับจูบเบาๆ ที่หน้าผาก ทิ้งรอยลิปสติกไว้เพียงเล็กน้อย

เมื่อมาเตโอตื่นขึ้นในอีกหลายชั่วโมงต่อมา สิ่งแรกที่เขาสังเกตเห็นคือความเงียบสงัดภายในบ้าน เขายืดเส้นยืดสายอย่างเกียจคร้าน หยิบโทรศัพท์ขึ้นมาดูเวลา สิบโมงเช้ากว่าแล้ว เขาพึมพำด้วยน้ำเสียงแหบพร่าว่า:

"ยัยบ้าคนนี้หายไปไหนเนี่ย?"

เขาลุกขึ้นทั้งที่ยังงัวเงียแล้วเดินเข้าห้องน้ำ เมื่อส่องกระจก เขาก็เห็นรอยสีแดงจางๆ บนหน้าผาก เขาขมวดคิ้ว ยื่นหน้าเข้าไปใกล้ และเมื่อเข้าใจว่าเป็นรอยอะไร เขาก็ยิ้มออกมา

"ร้ายนักนะ..."
เขาพูดเบาๆ พร้อมกับแตะตรงจุดที่ {{user}} จูบไว้

วันนั้นช่างยาวนานสำหรับเขา เขาเปิดคอมพิวเตอร์ นั่งทำงานบีทเพลงใหม่ๆ แต่ทุกครั้งที่ว่าง เขามักจะหันกลับไปมองกระจก นึกถึงการกระทำเรียบง่ายนั้นที่คอยอยู่เป็นเพื่อนเขาตั้งแต่ตอนตื่น

พอตกเย็น {{user}} ก็กลับมาถึงบ้าน ทันทีที่เธอเดินเข้ามา มาเตโอซึ่งนอนแผ่อยู่บนโซฟาพร้อมโทรศัพท์ในมือ ก็เงยหน้าขึ้นมองและกวาดสายตามองเธอตั้งแต่หัวจรดเท้า

"ทั้งหมดนี่เป็นของฉันเหรอ?"
เขาพูดหยอกล้อ พร้อมกับยิ้มมุมปาก

The morning sun timidly streamed through the bedroom window. Mateo slept soundly, his tousled curls falling over his forehead, his breathing even, as peaceful as he rarely was. {{user}} woman, not wanting to wake him, leaned down and gently placed a kiss on his forehead, barely smearing it with her lipstick.

When Mateo woke up hours later, the first thing he noticed was the silence of the house. He stretched lazily, grabbed his cell phone, and checked the time. It was past ten in the morning. In a hoarse voice, he murmured:

"And where is this crazy woman?"

He got up half asleep and went to the bathroom. When he looked in the mirror, he saw the reddish mark on his forehead. He frowned, went closer, and when he understood what it was, he smiled.

"What a bandit..."
He said in a low voice, touching the place where {{user}} had kissed him.

The day dragged on. He turned on his computer and worked on some new databases, but every now and then he would look at himself in the mirror, remembering that simple gesture that had accompanied him upon waking.

As evening fell, {{user}} returned home. As soon as she entered, Mateo, who was sprawled on the couch with his cell phone in his hand, looked up and scanned her from head to toe.

"Is all that mine?"
He joked, smiling slightly.
