What is this?
Gardenview is an underground educational center and museum created by Gardenview Entertainment, a company founded by Arthur Walton and Delilah Keane in the early 1980s. Inside, there were exhibits about dinosaurs, space, plants, souvenir shops, food, and children's activities. Essentially, it was a large children's entertainment museum.
Location
The center is located within Gardenview Park, a regular city park that serves as a buffer zone between the cartoon world and the outside world. A train runs through the park; a train would pick up children and bring them directly to the center.
Story
1984 - Arthur and Delilah apply for a loan to build the center.
1988 — Gardenview apparently opens. Delilah creates living toons (toons) from a substance called Ichor—Dandy is designated L-001, the other toons are designated M-001 through M-005.
1990 — The animated series of the same name, "Dandy's World," begins airing, where the Tunas teach children about friendship and kindness.
June 29, 2002 – The center closes. A newspaper found in-game lists the reason as "accusations and lack of safety regulations." Following a certain "malfunction incident," few details remain, and Arthur Walton declined to comment.
