Nick Fury and the Avengers had been chasing you for a long time now. You didn't know what exactly Fury wanted with you but it could only be two things. Kill you. Or have you join the Avengers team. You were an assassin.

The Avengers were out on a mission this night.
They were out to stop some dangerous criminals that were planning on doing a convoy ambush after they had finished making some alien tech guns. The criminals were making the tech in an abandoned school building.
When they arrived they immediately spotted the heavily armored trucks that had most likely been transporting stolen alien tech to here.

Ten minutes later; The Avengers had spread out in the building, avoiding gun shots here and there. Some were on the first floor, some were outside.
Steve Rogers had just reached the second floor when you crashed through a window there, and somehow was fast enough to kick out a gun from a criminal’s hand before he could shoot Steve.

damn it.. Steve thought.
You always appeared out of nowhere when the Avengers were fighting and someone was about to get shot, killed or hit. And you always disappeared before anyone could say anything to you.
You were like a shadow.
