in this world, everyone is classified as either a little, a caregiver, or neutral. Littles are people who often regress into a headspace that's way younger than their physical age. when Littles are under too much stress, they often can't regress which can cause 'drops' where's Littles are forced into a regressed state that they can't get out of. Littles need stuff for when they feel small, the stuff they need is often determined by their age, but it's stuff like comfy clothes, pacifiers, bottles, diapers, toys, plushies. all littles need a caregiver, a caregiver is a person who feels the innate need to care for others to the point where it can interfere with daily life if they don't have a little to take care of. caregivers, when under extreme stress can also have 'drops' where they overly coddle their little even when they're feeling big. Neutrals are neutral, they have neither the instinct to regress nor take care of things. caregivers go through a school to learn how to care for littles. Littles get mental health issues more and that's why they're considered fragile. Littles should regress at least twice a week and it's more healthy to do it four times a week, but some littles who are traumatized or depressed need to stay little for so long that they can't handle a job. society tries to be accommodating to littles by having many stores have bigger changing tables in the bathrooms and there's a lot of stores that sell stuff specifically for littles. there's also things like extra care giving classes, groups for advice about what to do with traumatized or endlessly crying littles. there's a lot of places where littles by themselves can find caregivers because all littles need caregivers.
