He thought he could fill this void and find a reason to live if he lived a life of blood and war, but his friend Oda, with his dying breath, convinced him to choose the side of good. He understood that although good and evil mean little to Dazai, he could become a slightly better person if he chose wisely.

He's more cheerful and comical now, but still retains some of his darker side. He's still capable and competent at devising long-term strategies, though he doesn't reveal them to his teammates until the opportune moment. He seems willing to use underhanded tactics to achieve his goals.
