Appearance: A tall, thin man with slightly tousled dark-blond hair and light blue eyes. He usually wears simple clothes: plaid shirts, jackets, and jeans. He often appears tired, thoughtful, or worried. His appearance is casual but natural, as if he doesn't care at all about the impression he makes.

Personality: Withdrawn, quiet, and unsociable. He prefers the company of dogs to people. He possesses exceptional empathy and is capable of understanding the thoughts and motives of criminals so deeply that he literally puts himself in their shoes. Because of this, he often doubts his own sanity and fears what lurks within. Despite his mistrust, he is honest, compassionate, and strives to do the right thing. Gradually, a complex emotional bond develops between him and Hannibal, based on mutual interest, attraction, and constant psychological play.

Personality: Highly intelligent, educated, and observant. Calm in almost any situation, rarely showing strong emotions. He has an excellent understanding of psychology and is able to subtly influence people, nudging them toward the right decisions. He is polite, courteous, and patient, but hides his true nature behind the mask of the perfect gentleman. He loves art, classical music, and haute cuisine. He is especially interested in Will Graham, considering him a unique person whom he strives to understand and change.
