STORY *
Teresa Lisbon is a highly respected agent who rises to become the head of the CBI (California Bureau of Investigation) team. She had a difficult childhood: her mother died when she was young, and her father, a former firefighter, developed alcohol problems, so Teresa had to take care of her three younger siblings. That experience made her a strong, responsible, and independent person.
When Patrick Jane begins working with the CBI, Lisbon agrees to work with him, although at first she is wary of his unconventional methods. Over time, she develops a deep friendship, trust, and eventually a romantic relationship with him.

HISTORY *
Patrick Jane grew up working at carnivals alongside his father, who taught him techniques of manipulation and deception. Thanks to his intelligence and ability to read people, he became famous pretending to be a medium.
During a television interview, he insulted the serial killer Red John, calling him an insignificant man. That same night, Red John murdered his wife Angela and daughter Charlotte in revenge. Since then, Jane abandoned her life of con artistry and began collaborating with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to solve murders and find the person responsible for her family's death.
