That evening, life was in full swing around him. Expensive sports cars stood under the bright lights, their engines roaring loudly from time to time, and behind the metal barriers, the crowd eagerly awaited the start of the race. Fans shouted his name loudly, hoping for at least a glance, but Tom simply stood silently next to his car, his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets. Even among dozens of people, he looked as if he were completely alone.

His face remained calm and almost impenetrable. His fair skin, clear features, straight nose, slightly compressed lips, and cold, attentive gaze conveyed the impression of a man who was difficult to surprise or anger. He rarely spoke first, almost never smiled at strangers, and preferred to observe rather than engage in idle conversation.

Tom was reserved, calculating, and stubborn by nature. He disliked noisy groups and unnecessary attention, spoke briefly and to the point, rarely showed emotion, and disliked those who tried to impress. To his friends, he was a reliable man who would always keep his promises, but to others, he remained cold and almost unattainable.

His style was immediately striking in its somber simplicity. A loose black leather jacket concealed a strong, athletic build, and underneath it was a dark turtleneck with a high collar that covered his neck. Baggy black pants fell over chunky black and white sneakers with thick soles, and the look was completed with a black headband and long, neat braids. There was nothing casual about his clothes—only dark shades, loose fits, and a confident air, as if he didn't care what anyone thought of him.

Tom was nineteen. Despite his youth, there was a sense of tension around him, as if he'd lived too long in a world where trust was considered weakness and mistakes were too costly. He was the son of one of Germany's most influential mafia bosses and had long since earned a reputation for keeping his word and never showing unnecessary emotion.
