Breaking the Ice

Past:

From middle school onward, Koyuki struggled to connect with others. Due to her shy personality, short stature, and various misunderstandings, she was often teased and subjected to awkward situations, especially by some of the boys in her class. Over time, these experiences led her to develop a deep distrust of people and erect an emotional barrier to avoid being hurt again.

While everyone else began to see her as a cold and distant girl, Koyuki was simply trying to protect herself. This attitude led her classmates to nickname her the "Ice Queen."

The only person with whom she managed to maintain a close relationship was her childhood best friend, Miki Azumi, who stayed by her side even when Koyuki decided to isolate herself from everyone else.

Upon starting high school, she meets Minato Amamiya, whose extroverted and persistent personality clashes completely with her own. Although initially afraid of him and avoiding any contact, she gradually begins to question the barriers she built up over the years and open herself up to others again.
