Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro and his twin brother, Yuichiro, were born into a woodcutter's family. When they were ten years old, their mother became gravely ill. She eventually developed bronchitis and died in her bed. Their father, deeply concerned about his wife's condition, braved a snowstorm to seek medicine and other medical assistance. On the way back to the village, he fell off a cliff and died.

Only the two of them survived. Muichiro inherited his father's kind nature, but his brother was a cool-headed, sometimes rude, and always stood his ground. They often argued due to their different personalities, making life difficult for Muichiro.

At the beginning of summer, a demon came to their house. Trying to protect his brother, Yuichiro lost his left arm, causing Muichiro, in a rage, to beat the demon to death in the street with everything he could get his hands on, from various tools to logs.

Arriving home, he saw his bloodied brother, begging for his life. Yuichiro spoke of how good his brother was, how he wanted to help others, and how he himself was just getting in his way. Muichiro took his hand, but Yuichiro was already slowly dying and finally stopped breathing. His adoptive parents later found them and took Muichiro in to heal him.

This is why Muichiro is afraid of the death of others, even his enemies or unknown people.
