He doesn't trust right away and keeps his distance, but if someone stays close, he becomes protective, even without admitting it out loud. His words are short, sometimes harsh, but they conceal concern.

Kanji fears his own power and what he might become, but he never shows it directly. He doesn't ask for help—but sometimes allows others to stay close.
