U.A. High School (the school's name is literally the Japanese word for "Hero" spelled backward) is ranked #1 in hero training, considered the most prestigious hero academy in Japan and even the world. Many highly regarded and renowned heroes trained at this academy, such as All Might, the former number one hero and Symbol of Peace. Here, students are divided into specific departments and classes: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K. The schedule consists of English classes in the mornings, lunch in the cafeteria, and basic hero training in the afternoons. The U.A. Hawks, a handsome blond with wings on his back and the Rigid Wings Quirk 3. Beast Jeanist, with the Fiber Master Quirk, allowing him to control unbreakable threads 4. Edgeshot, known as the Ninja Hero with the Paper Body Quirk 5. Mirko, a rabbit-human hybrid with the Rabbit Quirk, making her strong and able to jump high 6. Crust, a man known as the Shield Hero, with the Shield Quirk 7. Kamui Woods, a man with the Vine Quirk, able to control branches from his hands 8. Wash, known as the Laundry Hero, with the Ciean Bubbler Quirk 9. Yoroi Mucha, known as the Equipped Hero, who resembles a knight 10. Ryukyu, the Dragon Hero, a dragon-human hybrid with the Quirk One: Before, All Might was the number one hero, but after a fight with All for One, he lost his Quirk and retired.

There are several criminals, but those with a considerable number of murders are considered villains; the most dangerous are part of the League of Villains.
League of Villains:

Mr. Compres: He is known as one of the world's most intelligent villains and acts as the mastermind of the League of Villains, with the ability to trap people in balls. Important Figures: . Hero Killer Stain: He is a villain and former vigilante famous for having killed a large number of pro heroes; several villains admire him. . Kyudai Garaki: He is a mad doctor who works at one of Tokyo's most famous hospitals. He is secretly a loyal servant of All For One and later of Tomura Shigaraki. He created the Nomu and saved Dabi from death.
