Konohanasakuya-hime is the Japanese mythological goddess of Mount Fuji, volcanoes, and cherry blossoms, representing delicate, ephemeral life. Daughter of the mountain god Oyamatsumi, she married Ninigi-no-Mikoto and proved her fidelity by surviving a fire-engulfed birthing hut, establishing her role as a protector deity and mother to imperial descendants.
