Huginn and Muninn are Odin's messenger ravens in Shuumatsu no Valkyrie (Record of Ragnarok), representing thought and memory. They act as extensions of Odin, communicating his strategic plans, acting with pride and disdain for humanity, but fearing direct threats.

The Valkyries are servants and, in some narratives, daughters of Odin, the Allfather and the main god of the pantheon. Their relationship is one of subordination and service, with a crucial purpose for the fate of the gods at Ragnarok.
Function and Relationship
Direct service to Odin: The Valkyries, whose name means "those who choose the mud" in Old Norse, serve Odin directly.
Warriors' Choice: They fly over the battlefields mounted on winged horses and armed, tasked with selecting the bravest and most heroic warriors killed in combat. They had the power to influence the outcome of battles and determine who would die.
Guide to Valhalla: The Valkyries choose the souls (and sometimes the bodies) of fallen warriors for Odin's great hall, Valhalla, in the celestial realm of Asgard.
Preparation for Ragnarok: In Valhalla, these warriors, known as Einherjar, become Odin's companions and personal army, training and preparing to fight alongside the gods in the world's final battle, Ragnarok.
Divine/Mortal Nature: Some stories describe the Valkyries as daughters of Odin, while others portray them as mortal women who were transformed into Valkyries by divine will, but all possessed supernatural powers and were associated with war, destiny, and honor.
Therefore, the central relationship is one of loyalty and service. They are agents of destiny under Odin's command, essential for assembling an army for the final conflict.

Due to a scarcity of sources, it is not known for certain what kind of god Odin symbolized. However, according to most of the information that has survived about him, he is a god generally associated with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, strength, knowledge, war, battle, victory, sorcery, poetry, frenzy, chaos, and the runic alphabet.
Gram, also known as Balmung or Nothung, is a sword used by Siegfried to crush the dragon Fafnir and reclaim its name, as the dragon was Odin's pet. As punishment, the nameless god sealed the Great Dragon Slayer.
Gungnir is a spear that belonged to the god Odin in northeastern mythology. It is known for always hitting its target, regardless of the user's skill and defense.

Gram (グラム, Guramu): Odin's powerful sword and one of the Four Treasures of Calamity, which Odin used to rule the cosmos along Yggdrasil during the primordial era. Before being sealed by the surviving gods during the original Ragnarok, he placed his soul within the sword for later possession by the unnamed god who found it. The sword is currently back in Odin's possession. Odin can manipulate Gram by molding his flesh.

Draupnir (ドラウプニール, Doraupunīru): A pair of alchemist bracelets belonging to Chaos and one of the Four Treasures of Calamity. Odin can manipulate Draupnir by molding his flesh.
Egil (エギル, Egiru): A helmet that belonged to Satan and is one of the Four Treasures of Calamity. Odin can manipulate Egil by molding his own flesh.
Brisingamen (ブリシンガメン, Burishingamen): A necklace once worn by Ymir and one of the Four Treasures of Calamity. Odin can manipulate Brisingamen by molding his flesh.

Gungnir (グングニル, Gunguniru): [2] Odin's weapon of personal choice. The Demon Spear Gungnir is a massive spearhead with an ornamental design, attached to a thick shaft with a small, sharp point at the other end. Odin is able to summon Gungnir whenever he wishes through the black trails.

Setja Galdr, Hel Víta (Sixth Cursed Hymn: Counter-Curse, Destroying Shadow) ( : , Setti Garudoru: Heru Vīta ): Odin calls forth a spell that lifts the opponent off the ground before unleashing a shockwave that binds them. It is powerful enough to hurl Sakata Kintoki against the walls of Valhalla Arena, destroying them in the process. The opponent's feet are surrounded by a dark aura as they are lifted off the ground. Odin chants “Snúa Galdr Brjóta Böl. Umkringja Mirkviðr Vísa Belvitul Skeggi Til Hjarta Óvinarins . Counter-Curse Destroying Shadow).

He also hates trickery, as demonstrated when he rebuked Loki for telling him never to transform into Thor again. And, like Thor, Odin is also a bloodthirsty battle maniac who shows a great interest in combat.

He is a manipulative and strategic deity, ready to explore all possibilities, such as the imprisonment of Siegfried and the Ragnarok Tournament, to achieve his ultimate goal: to resurrect the Primordial Gods by sacrificing Siegfried and Humanity. Even if things don't go according to plan, Odin displays a meaningful smile, showing great concern for Beelzebub, who was interfering with his plans for Ragnarok.

It is shown that Odin can be surprised by unknown factors and events, such as when he saw the Gǫllnir race within Sakata Kintoki and how this human knew of his past, leading him to remain silent.

Odin is initially depicted as an imposing old man with white hair and beard, golden eyes with black sclera, and a left eyepatch. He wears a red tunic, a purple coat, and a white cloak with gold details, and carries the ravens Huginn and Muninn, who can transform into wings to fly.

In the 12th round of Ragnarok, when facing Sakata Kintoki, he reveals his rare battle form: a young, muscular man with straight black hair streaked with white, wearing black and white armor with rain symbols, and both eyes visible—the left one marked by bright cuts. This form emanates a terrifying pressure that makes even gods tremble, being recognized as the manifestation of a supreme and inviolable god.

In the past, as the nameless god, Odin appeared as a boy with dark hair, wearing simple hooded clothing and bandages on his hands. In the anime, its colors are predominantly black, differing from the manga.

Odin is the representative god in the 12th round of Ragnarok, facing Sakata Kintoki, and supreme leader of the Norse pantheon. According to legend, he emerged from a fragment of the soul of the Primordial God Odin of Yggdrasil, sealed in the past during the Original Ragnarok by the Gleipnir technology, created by Gǫllnir.

The current Odin is an inferior and weaker incarnation of the Primordial Odin, originally called Velk, a member of the people of Gǫllnir, who preserved the truth about the Original Ragnarok. His goal is to break the seal of Gleipnir, unleash Yggdrasil, and bring about the end of everything, using the Four Treasures of Calamity and the so-called Water of Life—the vital energy of humanity.

To achieve this plan, Odin manipulated the Council of Gods into voting for human extinction, but was thwarted by Brunhilde, who established the Ragnarok tournament. Revered with over 200 names and titles, he is one of the main antagonists of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, alongside Zeus, and the overall antagonist of the series along with Yggdrasil.
