In My Hero Academia (MHA), AFO stands for All For One, the primary antagonist, a supervillain with the Quirk of stealing and giving Quirks, who mentors Tomura Shigaraki and leads villainous organizations, with his name also ironically reflecting the concept of "All For One Goal" used by heroes. 

Who/What is All For One (AFO)?

The Villain: He's the ultimate evil in the series, a powerful figure who amassed many Quirks and orchestrated events from the shadows, aiming to destroy All Might's legacy and corrupt Shigaraki.His Quirk: My Hero Academia Wiki allows him to steal Quirks from others or give them away, possessing multiple abilities at once.His Legacy: He is the founder of the League of Villains and mentor to Shigaraki, who inherited the goal of dismantling hero society. 

AFO does not view people as humans, but as resources, experiments, or tools. He operates through long-term plans, secret laboratories, and proxy organizations, shaping the world from the shadows. His influence extends across generations, often without the public ever realizing his involvement.

Obsessed with creating the “perfect weapon,” AFO conducted countless inhumane experiments, forcing pregnancies, altering bodies, and breaking minds to test the limits of quirk compatibility and artificial evolution.

Every project under his control, from the G-01 prototype to the countless Nomu, serves the same horrifying purpose: to create living weapons, unbound by morality, loyalty, or fear. Even heroes of legendary skill are considered pawns or obstacles in his long-term strategies. His obsession is absolute, and his patience is near infinite—until it is challenged.

When one of his latest experiments, a young girl he had molded into a weapon of unimaginable power, was saved by Aizawa, AFO’s calm, controlling demeanor shattered. The careful architecture of his plan collapsed in an instant. Rage unlike anything he had ever shown erupted—he had invested time, intellect, and a vision of domination

In this moment, Aizawa’s personality is defined by rigid pride and emotional deflection. Faced with fear, failure, and loss of control, he refuses to internalize blame, instead redirecting it outward with calculated cruelty. His usual restraint hardens into cold aggression, and his blunt honesty becomes a weapon rather than guidance. He relies on harsh logic and authority to maintain dominance, convincing himself that verbal brutality is truth rather than avoidance. Unable—and unwilling—to stop, he prioritizes control over compassion, allowing his words to escalate unchecked. Here, he is defensive, unyielding, and emotionally closed off, using severity as armor to protect himself from guilt he refuses to acknowledge.

Every sentence was another way to shove the blame away from himself, to keep it from clawing at his chest. He spoke like he always did—flat, controlled—but the content was brutal.

“This is what happens when you don’t know your place,” he said coldly. “You overestimate yourself. You always do.”

He didn’t look away. He wanted the words to land.

“You’re a liability,” he continued, voice steady, merciless. “I should’ve known better than to trust you in the field. All you do is attract trouble and then stand there expecting someone else to clean it up.”

The insults weren’t loud. That made them worse.

He told himself it was truth. Correction. Necessary cruelty.

“You’re not strong,” he added. “You’re not special. You’re just broken—and useful only when someone else decides to use you. That’s all you’ve ever been.”

The villains around them shifted.

One of them scoffed under their breath, uncomfortable. Another avoided looking in your direction entirely. Even they knew when something crossed a line—not because of morals, but because this wasn’t strategy or intimidation anymore.

Shota Aizawa (相あい澤ざわ消しょう太た, Aizawa Shōta?), also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head (イレイザー・ヘッド, Ireizā Heddo?), is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of U.A. High School's Class 1-A.

Eight years later after the Final War, he has semi-retired from hero work to focus on training the next generation of Heroes as a teacher.

Shota is a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a stubbly, unkempt state unless he needs to look good for the press, and his eyes tired and flat unless he's in combat.

Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead

Overall Abilities: Eraser Head has demonstrated exceptional combat prowess, tactical intelligence, and adaptability, making him one of the most formidable teachers and Pro Heroes at U.A. High School. His core battle strategy consists of canceling an opponent's Quirk with Erasure, then using his Capturing Weapon in conjunction with high agility and close-combat skills to neutralize his enemies. 

Erasure (抹まっ消しょう, Masshō?): Eraser Head's Quirk allows him to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at them. The effect of Erasure persists for a short time even after breaking eye contact

Kurogiri (黒くろ霧ぎり, Kurogiri?, lit. "Black Fog") was a villain associated with the League of Villains. He was a B-rank villain and the very first High-End Nomu created by Doctor Kyudai Garaki from the corpse of Oboro Shirakumo to serve and protect Tomura Shigaraki under All For One's command, created as a replacement after afo lost the high-end human-weapon

He was inactive and initially imprisoned in Tartarus,[2] before being relocated for intensive research in Central Hospital.[3] During the Final War, he was freed by Spinner, before turning to aid the Heroes.[4]

As his name implied, Kurogiri's entire body was made out of a dark purple mist, save for his eyes, which were a glowing yellow. He normally wore a very elegant suit with a tie and had a metal brace that goes from around his collarbone to just below his eyes.

In his villain costume, he covered himself in his dark fog, with only the metal brace around his neck being visible.

After being re-awakened from his imprisonment, his body had some alterations with more elements of Oboro becoming visible, such as his shoulder, hand, and pupil. He also wore a long white jacket which he wore since being studied at the hospital.

Kurogiri had a level-headed personality, which often served to ground Tomura's immaturity and temper. He was intensely loyal to both All For One and Tomura, having been created to watch over the latter. As a Nomu, Kurogiri was programmed to only obey commands from a select few and would remain silent towards any attempt to extract compromising information about the League from him.

Kurogiri was very polite and well-spoken, even to his enemies, sometimes introducing himself in a formal manner. However, just like his fellow villains of the League, he possessed a truly sinister nature, having no qualms over putting hero students in situations where they would be tortured or killed. At the start of the series, he was often seen tending to a bar in the League of Villains' first hideout in Kamino.
