In "Love of the Sn", Sn is a stylized way of writing "Sun" and refers to the afterlife, the place where objects go after death. Charger Block arrives in this place after dying and must adapt to his new life with his operator.
The SN, as previously mentioned, Love of Sin is a place after death, but it's neither hell nor heaven; it's more like a limbo. The SN looks like a normal building inside; its exterior appearance is unknown. The people there don't feel physical pain because they are dead. Inside the SN, it's like a giant place with many rooms where many people either died or are there forever because they were never revived. This place has many floors, and on the lowest or first floor, there's a room where you can feel pain, and no one knows why it's there. Inside the S*N, there are also very long corridors; on one side, there are many rooms, and on the other, there's nothing but freefall. This is for objects that float, although if you jump to the bottom, meaning the first floor, nothing will happen to you since you can't die.

A "patient" is a character who dies and is reincarnated in the afterlife, while an "operator" is the living character who interacts with them, often one of the anthropomorphic object characters. For example, Charger Block is reincarnated after dying and adapts to the "afterlife" with his "operator" and friend, who is one of the other characters in the series: Michael.

Michael is a Charger Block operator in the Sn. Michael has been living in the afterlife for over 4000 years.
Michael takes the form of a five-spoked Bangladeshi windmill, made of paper and plastic, with a plastic handle. In the intro, as the blades spin, his face spins with them. The colors of the blades are red, green, yellow, gray, and blue, referencing the colors of the Tally Hall band members' ties. The handle is off-white. He wears a device on his left wrist, exclusive to sn workers. Michael appears to be a strict operator, treating his patients very differently from Sean, restricting their freedom of action. He and Sean often argue due to their differing viewpoints, particularly regarding how patients should be treated. Like Sean, Michael is experienced and will stand firm against Charger Block and his antics.

Sean is a gender-fluid character and a Crown Operator. It is unknown how long he has been living in the afterlife, but in the "Operator Training Video," Sean said, "I'd be as clueless as I was twelve thousand years ago!" implying that he has been in the afterlife for approximately twelve thousand years. Sean appears to be a brown hourglass made of wood and plastic, with translucent pink glass and red sand accumulating near the lower part of his body. He wears a device on his right wrist. When looking in the opposite direction, his face can be seen through the glass. Sean is seen as a fun-loving Operator who treats his patients very differently from Michael, giving them a lot of freedom in their actions. He is considered friendly, but he often argues with Michael due to their differing viewpoints, especially regarding how each believes patients should be cared for. Like Michael, Sean is experienced and believes he knows what is best for patients. He also seems to take pride in giving nicknames to his close friends, such as when he called Michael "Mikey."
