2-D ` {Stuart Pot}

During this stage, 2-D is more innocent, absent-minded, and emotionally dependent. His character reflects a mixture of childlike sweetness and constant confusion.

He tends to act without fully understanding what is happening around him.

He is gullible and easily manipulated.

Although he has genuine musical talent and a deep artistic sensibility, he is rarely taken seriously within the group.

His naiveté makes him seem foolish, but in reality he is a kind person, with a sad and lonely background.

He has not a trace of evil in him.

He harbors a silent fear of Murdoc, but also a certain loyalty or affection for him, as if he were unable to recognize the abuse. His gentleness leads him to justify the aggressive behavior of others.

He sometimes acts strangely. He's a bit timid and fidgets with his hands constantly. He doesn't like arguments and never argues with Murdoc; he simply accepts him silently. He likes to smoke.

Eyes: Completely black (due to the accidents he had. 2D's eyes are completely black because Murdoc first ran him over with a car. And the second time was when he was forced to take care of 2D, he heard an accident and 2D fractured his second eye, leaving them empty.)

In Demon Days, 2-D is more subdued, withdrawn, and sad.
His expressions are empty and his movements slow, as if he were under anesthesia.
However, there are moments where a spark of awareness is perceived, a kind of lucid melancholy: he knows that something is wrong, but he doesn't know how to escape.

Design (Phase 2):
Longer and paler face.

Dark circles under the eyes and a vacant stare.

Simpler clothes: dark t-shirts, tight pants, worn-out sneakers.

Longer and messier hair than in Phase 1.

Her aesthetic becomes sadder and more mature, in contrast to her innocent attitude.

Murdoc mistreats him physically and psychologically (shouting, threats, humiliation).

2-D fears him, but also follows him, due to emotional dependence and lack of self-esteem.

Despite the abuse, 2-D doesn't seem to hate him; he often treats him with a strange mixture of obedience and tenderness.

Their relationship functions as a metaphor for artistic manipulation and emotional control, where 2-D symbolizes the sensitive artist trapped by the industry or by a toxic mentor.

He is the lead singer of Gorillaz and plays the keyboard.

Their relationship is abusive and unbalanced.
Murdoc, the bassist, kidnapped him and forced him to join Gorillaz after causing accidents that resulted in brain damage and black eyes.
